Kalimpong Science Centre has been established in Kalimpong, one of the Hill Sub-Division of Darjeeling District in the year 2008, conceived, designed and developed by National Council of Science Museums (Ministry of Culture, Government of India). It is knowledge-based organization of high quality and dedication; engage in popularizing Science and Technology among the general masses particularly, in students. Kalimpong Science Centre was inaugurated on 2nd October’2008 by Shri B. L. Meena, IAS, and Honorable Admistrator-Darjeeling Gorkha Hill council.

30th August 2009: Inter College Debate Competition.



Colleges that participated in this event were:
1.      Cluny Women’s College, Kalimpong.
2.      Kalimpong College, Kalimpong.
3.      Ghoom Jorbunglow Degree College, Darjeeling.
4.      St. Joseph’s College, Kalimpong.
Small Scale Industrial day was also observed on this day. In the same occasion a inter college debate competition was organized. The topic for the day was “IS OUR INDUSTRIAL PROGRESS HAMPERING OUR SUSTAINABLE LIFE?”
The winner was awarded with trophies and certificates.
The chief guest of the day was Dr. R. P. Dhakal, Principal, Kalimpong College, Kalimpong.
