On this day Centre had observed World Environment Day and on the occasion of this day the centre organized inter-school “Extempore Contest, Essay Contest and Sit & Draw competition”.
Schools that Participated in this event were:
1. Girls High School, Kalimpong.
2. Parnami Balika Vidhya Mandir, Kalimpong.
3. Scotties University of Missionaries Institute (SUMI), Kalimpong.
4. Kumidini Homes (K.H.S.), Kalimpong
5. Divya Jyot Academy, Mungpoo
The students from class V- X had participated. The chief guest of the day was Mr. P. R. Pradhan, Ex- Principal, S. U. M. I., Kalimpong.
The winner was awarded with trophies and certificates.

2nd place for Instant Speech - Master Nagen Sapkota, K.H.S, Kalimpong
3rd place for Instant Speech – Miss Anjali Sharma, G.H.S, Kalimpong
1st place for Essay Contest – Master Abinash Rai, Dibya Jyoti Academy, Mungpoo
